POSTNATAL DOULA SERVICES
I simply adore the newborn phase, it is a such a sweet and precious time. However, it comes with unique challenges and can sometimes hit you like a ton of bricks.
Looking after a new being, the weight of responsibility, the sleeplessness, potential feeding struggles and general up-ending of life as you knew it takes some getting used to. Things will settle, and in the meantime, consider the extra support I could offer.
My way of working as a postnatal doula is to mother the mother, looking after you to help you gather the mental, emotional and physical strength and sensitivity you need to look after you baby. Every family is different so I am flexible in the postnatal support I offer, whether it’s feeding support, a listening ear to unpack your birth story or making nourishing meals, snacks and herbal infusions. Where necessary, I signpost to highly regarded specialists in the field of lactation consultants, osteopaths, pelvic health physios and therapists.

What my clients say
Léa was very knowledgeable and reassuring regarding breastfeeding. She was well prepared with knowing what a mum needs and could relate to the issues one faces post birth which was very important for me.
She’s calm, friendly, personable and a pleasure to have in around. I felt very comfortable letting her into my home and take care of my newborn.
Karina, Miesha’s Mum
Léa was flexible and accommodating throughout my postnatal journey, especially as I navigated my own evolving needs and uncertainties about the kind of support I required.
One of the most invaluable aspects of her care was the nourishing postnatal meals she prepared for me. They were not only delicious but also alleviated the mental and physical load of ensuring I was well-fed during such a crucial recovery period.
Above all, Léa brought warmth, empathy, and dedication to every interaction. We feel so fortunate to have had her by our side during this transformative time.
Sarah, Marie-Lou’s Mum
My fourth trimester rolled in and having Léa visit me regularly, with delicious meals, nutritious snacks and teas and just a shoulder to lean on was honestly invaluable.
Léa also has a little black book of amazing people to help you with everything from acupuncture and reflexologists to lactation consultants which I found very helpful and took full advantage of. I couldn't recommend her services highly enough.
Iz, Wilfred’s Mum
We were very happy and appreciative of Lea’s support throughout. She was a valuable support of knowledge/advice for queries we had, and provided reassurance to us on all matters (feeding, reflux, sleep patterns) when we needed it.
Her cooking is genuinely excellent, and it was so helpful to have a steady stream of delicious things to keep us going for these early weeks. She also skilfully handled both babies in one sling whilst cooking, which gave us the opportunity to nap.
Léa was calm, trustworthy and reliable, we would recommend her to any expectant parents considering a doula. A big thank you again to her!
